The regulation is already in place with the Federal Reserve Bank. If banks run short of reserves, either the FED provides them, with regulatory strings attached , or my money and your money will not be there to pay the bills. 

A bank&#039;s account liabilities equal my money and yours.  Since hedge funds are doing what banks do I am merely suggesting they be included in bank regulation.  It may sound revolutionary but it&#039;s not.</description>

		<description>Who should cover the cost of this regulation?  Taxpayers?  Why is it the government&#039;s responsibility to protect hedge fund investors? The only time that government intervention is appropriate is in the rare cases that the fund managers act in a fraudulent/criminal manner.</description>
