Ask the Readers: What are You Saving For?

by Jason Unger on May 22, 2009 · 1 comment

Now that we've purchased our house, we're done saving for one of our biggest goals ever.

But the short-term saving isn't over — not by a long-shot. Since we have an emergency fund in place, our next big goal is to pay off all of my student loan debt. (You can tell I've been listening to a lot of Dave Ramsey recently.)

And, of course, we're expecting there to be additional (and unexpected) expenses related to the house; thankfully, there are no major issues with the house that a handyman can't fix.

So in addition to saving for unexpected expenses, we're saving to pay down debt.

But I want to know what you're saving for. A house? College? Vacation?

Answer the poll and then tell me more in the comments.

I said 'other' because I am saving for retirement. I was not smart enough to start earlier so I have been saving for that. :)
