When it comes to automating your finances, the point is to avoid worrying about the day-to-day budgeting/tracking and let online tools do it for you.
But, depending on where you are in your financial journey, you may need to adapt the system and check in more often on your day-to-day behaviors.
Often, when you’re starting out or making a major shift in your habits, you need to stay on top of your spending and saving to successfully change your behaviors. When you get into a new pattern, then you can sit back and relax.
So, we want to know: how often do you check in on your finances?

I check in on my bank and credit statements every day M0n-Fri and sometimes on the weekend. If I don’t then it makes it harder to reconcile my ledger and also verify that the transactions are correct.
Now that I’m once again gainfully employed, I check everything, several times a day, and play with my numbers an awful lot. Not necessarily a good thing, though, it’s actually driving me nuts waiting for my first full paycheck so I can actually do something with these numbers.
