17 Bills You Can Pay Online

by Jason Unger

People are often surprised at the number of things that can be paid for online.

It’s not just shopping at Amazon or bidding on things at eBay anymore — it’s likely that all of your expenses can be paid online.

From your insurance to your cell phone to your groceries, you can pay for it online. Even payments to your friends and family can be done online, if you’ve got the right tools.

In keeping with the 17 Days to Your Financial Freedom, here are 17 bills you can pay online.

  1. Cable
  2. Internet
  3. Phone
  4. Insurance (health, auto, homeowners, and more)
  5. Loans
  6. Rent/mortgage
  7. Parking tickets (yes, I know from experience)
  8. Credit card
  9. Subscriptions
  10. Taxes
  11. Cell phone
  12. Gas/electric
  13. Water
  14. Groceries (through Amazon, Peapod, and more)
  15. Car payment
  16. Medical payments
  17. Any other expenses, using ING’s Electric Orange to send a paper check or PayPal

What did I miss? What other bills have you paid online?

School tuition and membership to professional societies can be paid online as well.

I think some charitable organizations also allow you to pay using online banking.
